We consider your success at Colbert Heights High School a joint venture. Together we can explore the possibilities.  The Guidance Office seeks to assist you as you grow personally, academically, and in your career development.

It is never too early to plan for your future! We have small groups that meet weekly to discuss college and career readiness. You may also come by for help registering for the ACT. I look forward to working with you!

"Reaching for Dreams"

Your time is now!  Do you remember your eighth grade year when everyone was telling you how important high school would be?  Now is the time to bring it all to fruition.  Careful planning, being a conscientious student, utilizing time management skills, and diligence are all necessary components of a successful high school career.  We want to assist you in every way possible, but ultimately you are responsible for your own destiny!

Information is available in the guidance office on ACT test dates. Practice test information is also available.

Register to take the ACT. A score on this test is required for admission to any four year college or university. It is not required for admission to junior colleges but can be used to help determine class placement and take the place of placement tests for some students.

Keep in mind that as a general rule most scholarships require a good GPA and an ACT score of above a 25.  There are some need based scholarships but those also require an acceptable GPA.
