Welcome to the Colbert Heights High School Library!

C.H.H.S. Library serves over 500 students in grades 7-12.  The library has over 7900 books and audio-visual items on a variety of subjects.  It is open each school day from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for research, reading, computer use, and book checkout.  Students may check out two books for two weeks.

Colbert Heights High School Library Media Center is the information hub for the school. In support of Colbert Heights High School's commitment to educational excellence, the Library Media Center collects, organizes, and facilitates access to information resources in many formats.  Because teaching is at the heart of what a school library represents, the CHHS Library Media Center supports teaching, learning, and research in an intellectually and culturally open environment, providing instruction in the use of traditional and new information technologies that enhance and reinforce the school curriculum.

Policy of the Library

Students are expected to behave in a manner that will not disturb others who are using the library for study and research. Conversation should be kept to a minimum.

Students must return borrowed material within the designated time period. Checkout period for books is fourteen days. Books may be renewed for additional days provided no other student has requested loan of a particular item. Reference materials, periodicals, and some reserve materials may be used only in the Library.

Food, drinks, and chewing gum are not permitted in the library.

Library Computer Use Policy

Computers with Internet access are provided for instructional activities. Students are expected to adhere to school policy regarding Internet use.
